As Principal it is with pleasure and pride that I welcome you to Underwood West Academy.

Underwood West Academy is a happy, nurturing school where children enjoy coming to school and taking part in the wide range of exciting and stimulating learning activities we offer. 

Our text based curriculum, centred around a love of reading, provides a broad and balanced learning experience for every child as they progress through school.

We see every child as an individual learner and pride ourselves on fully meeting their needs and allowing them to fulfill their potentials.

I am eager to welcome parents and families in to school regularly to get involved and share in their child’s learning as well as finding out how they can help at home.

I feel strongly that as Principal it is my role to ensure that the children in my care develop a love of learning, and are nurtured with self-belief and confidence in order to set themselves achievable, high aspirations in life.

We are proud to be part of the Aspire Educational Trust. The Aspire Educational Trust was established in December 2013 by Ash Grove Academy and have rapidly grown from an initial three schools into a Trust of eleven schools.
