Curriculum Rationale

At Underwood West, we pass on the importance of securing knowledge, practice and working hard to become confident and flexible thinkers.

We have taken a great deal of time to plan a broad curriculum, underpinned by research, which builds on knowledge to ensure the children develop the cultural capital required to compete with the very best!

We teach children to ask big questions, challenge ideas and build on both their individual and combined strengths to solve problems and respond to the world around them.

We ensure each child practises taking risks, learning from mistakes and persevering towards their most ambitious goals.
